Summerfield woman calls for help after minibike goes missing from carport

A Summerfield woman called a Marion County sheriff’s deputy for help Wednesday night after realizing her minibike was missing.

The sheriff’s deputy made contact with the 47-year-old woman, who lives in the 9000 block of SE 144th Lane in Summerfield. She said the orange minibike had been stolen from her carport, which is attached to her residence, a sheriff’s office report states.

The woman said she saw the minibike around midnight Wednesday and discovered it was missing around 4 a.m. She valued the minibike at about $200. And she said a Bolens weed eater also was missing. She said it’s worth $10 because the engine is seized up, the report says.
