Oxford man living near The Villages nabbed on outstanding drug warrants

An Oxford man who lives just outside the walls of The Villages was returned to Lake County on Thursday after being arrested in Marion County.

Michael Andrew Stevenson, 39, was taken into custody in the early morning hours of Sept. 14 in Marion County after being arrested on an outstanding warrants for possession and sale of methamphetamine. He had been held in the Marion County Jail until Wednesday, when he was transferred to the Lake County Jail.

Stevenson, who lives in the 4400 block of County Road 110, had been sought on two warrants totaling $20,000. He was arrested in connection with a case regarding the sale of methamphetamine in Tavares that was witnessed by a Tavares Police Department detective.
