A woman won’t be prosecuted in a battle in The Villages with her teenage nephew who was visiting from New Hampshire.
Sandra Lee Juno, 54, was taken into custody April 24 on a charge of battery at the home she shares with her mother on Ashwood Run in the Village of Pennecamp.
Juno’s mother, who is the grandmother of the 17-year-old involved in the altercation with Juno, said the two had been “arguing ever since they went to dinner,” according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The Villager said she saw Juno put her hands on the teen’s neck. A deputy noted that the teen appeared to have suffered “small scratches” on the left side of his neck.
The New Jersey native denied touching the teen and was “very irate about the entire situation,” the report said.
Earlier this month in Sumter County Court, the prosecutor’s office announced no information would be filed in the case due to “other legal issues.”
