To the Editor:
In fairness to residents who pay amenity fees, it is reasonable to expect visitors to pay to use Villages facilities. The added wear and tear and upkeep due to the extra bodies of the hundreds of grandkids and kids and visitors who enjoy our amenities is real. And costly. I think it’s prudent to have this discussion.
Before there is another increase in residential fees, we should take a close look at charging visitors fees. The extensive and seemly unending growth of our Villages requires new consideration of how we allow our facilities and amenities to be used and at what cost to ourselves and outsiders.
