John Churchill Tyler

John Tyler

John Churchill Tyler, 77, of Fruitland Park, FL (and formally of Wildwood, FL), was born April 5, 1942 in Hot Springs, AR to Nathanial and Elizabeth Tyler. He died September 23, 2019 at his Fruitland Park residence.

John graduated from the University of the Ozarks with a degree in Business Administration but made his career (and made a difference in countless lives) as a teacher. He taught mathematics at Wildwood High School for 32 years.

John attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where he served as both senior and junior warden on the vestry. He trained ushers, served as Lay Eucharistic Minister, and started a Men’s Prayer Group.

He is survived by his wife Patsy, sister Caroline Nordquist, son John Michael Tyler, daughter-in-law Amy Tyler, and granddaughter Morgan.

A celebration of life will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Fruitland Park, Saturday October 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 2201 Spring Lake Road, Fruitland Park, FL 34731.
