Democrats have wanted to impeach President Trump from Day One

Congressman Daniel Webster

Democrats found President Trump worthy of impeachment on Nov. 9, 2016 and they have been looking to fill in the blanks ever since. When the Mueller Report found no collusion the Democrats were devastated. They are now repeating their pattern of rushing to judgment without concrete evidence or facts. I have always let facts and evidence guide my decision-making and will continue to do so.

The phone transcript and whistleblower report contain no smoking-gun of a threat or quid-pro-quo. The Democrats’ hatred for President Trump has cost them their ability to reason. They will stop at nothing in their desire to take down a duly elected President of the United States.

Last week, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff read a completely false and made-up version of the phone transcript at an intelligence committee hearing. This misleads the American public and has raised questions as to the integrity of proceedings of the Intelligence Committee.

Hard-working American’s elected me to work on sound public policy that will protect seniors, stop the spigot of spending, reduce red-tape, invest in infrastructure and allow small business owners and American ingenuity to prosper and create jobs. That is and will continue to be my focus.

Congressman Daniel Webster represents The Villages in the U.S. House of Representatives.
