A Lady Lake teen was arrested after he was caught after hours at a park in Sumter County.
Ethan Tyler Curry, 18, was in a silver Honda passenger car at 9:14 p.m. Wednesday when he was spotted at the Marsh Bend Outlet Park in Lake Panasoffkee, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Use of the park is only permitted from dawn to dusk.
A K-9 unit was summoned to the scene and the dog alerted on Curry’s vehicle. A search turned up granulated Xanax tablets and a straw with the residue of methamphetamine.
He was arrested on charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $3,000 bond.
