It was an honor to welcome President Donald J. Trump to my district last Thursday.
We both believe in preserving and protecting Medicare and providing Americans access to the healthcare they need, at a price they can afford and from the doctor they choose. The previous administration weaponized the federal bureaucracy, which caused healthcare costs to skyrocket and options to plummet.
President Trump is using his executive authority to reduce unnecessary red-tape and empower American patients and seniors to have more healthcare transparency and options.
It was great to be with him as he signed an Executive Order directing Health and Human Services and Children’s Medical Services to pursue policies that remove barriers and give seniors more choices in how they use their Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.
I thank President Trump for his visit and commitment to protect access, expand options and improve affordability.
