Villager who refuses to pick up items could be facing deed compliance fines

A Villager who refuses to pick up a tarp and other items on his property could be facing deed compliance fines.

Community Standards staffers have spoken “on numerous occasions” with Mark Healy, who has indicated he will not move the tarp, loose landscaping blocks or the various tools and bags on his property at 1817 E. Schwartz Blvd. on the Historic Side of The Villages.

Items can be seen behind a home at 1817 E. Schwartz Blvd.

A complaint was received July 22 about two storage boxes and miscellaneous items stored on his lot. The complaint was verified the following day.

His case was heard Wednesday afternoon by the Village Center Community Development District Board of Supervisors and Healy was found in violation of deed compliance rules. He has been ordered to bring the property into compliance within seven days. If he doesn’t bring the property into compliance, he will face a $150 fine followed by daily fines of $50.

Healy was arrested in 2017 on a drunk driving charge and at the time of the arrest was driving on a New York driver’s license. He indicated to police he was new to The Villages.
