Villages Parrotheads, Leesburg Rotary hosting TropRock Music Festival

The Villages Parrotheads and Leesburg Rotary will host the Leesburg TropRock Music Festival later this month in an effort to raise funds for community youth programs.
The inaugural event will be held at Pat Thomas Stadium (240 Ball Park Rd., Leesburg, FL) on Saturday, Oct. 19 from noon to 8 p.m. The event will include music, dancing, food trucks, refreshment stands and other activities. Lawn chairs and cushions are welcome for infield seating. Music will be provided by Sanky and the Simmer Down Crew, Highway Oneband and Landsharks Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band.
Tickets for the event are $20 in advance and include free parking at the city deck and a free shuttle to the stadium and Historic Main Street. If any tickets remain after advance sales, they can be purchased at the gate for $24.

Anyone that is accompanied by a live parrot will be admitted for free (1 parrot/person). Additionally, the person dressed in the best “Parrothead” costume will be awarded $200.
