Handicapped parking placard stolen from Villager’s golf cart during Trump event

A handicapped parking placard was apparently stolen from a Villager’s golf cart on the day of President Trump’s visit to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.

A 74-year-old woman who lives on the Historic Side of The Villages reported the missing placard Oct. 10 to the Lady Lake Police Department.

She told police her golf cart had been parked Oct. 3 near the Rialto Theater during the Trump event at the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center at Spanish Springs Town Square.

The woman told police she would be reporting the missing placard to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

This is the second police report to be filed in the wake of the Trump event in The Villages. Earlier this month, a Villager filed a police report as a result of an altercation during Trump’s visit to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
