Sumter County sheriff’s detectives are searching for a woman who last month slashed the tires on a vehicle parked at a plaza near The Villages.
Detectives say that on Sept. 19 a white female exited the passenger seat of a silver Mercury Grand Marquis and cut three tires on a Ford Mustang parked at the Oak Hills Professional Plaza at 13940 SE U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake. The woman had a slim build and was wearing a black hoodie.
The Mercury was driven by a white male with a larger build and possible tattoos on his forearms. The vehicle had what appeared to be a spare tire on its left front and some possible body damage, a sheriff’s office report states.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective John Binegar at (352) 793-2621 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477) and reference case number 4791.
