William E. Ried

William E. Ried, 83, of The Villages, FL, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away on October 10, 2019.

He was born on September 25, 1936 to his parents, William Edgar and Pauline (Bellaw) Ried in St. Louis, MO. After high school, William joined the US Army. He later got married to the love of his life, Frances, and had 3 children. He also worked for Hershey’s and Coke as a machinist and machine repairman. William loved to race stock cars, camping, and golfing. In 2009, William and Frances moved to The Villages, FL from St. Louis, MO. He and Frances attended St. Timothy’s Catholic Church. William also joined The Villages Motor Racing Fan Club, and had a great time being with other car enthusiasts. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

William is survived by his wife, Frances A. Ried; Son, Carl Ried; Daughters, Laura Bond (Jeff). Mary Vallie; Brothers, Allen Ried, Robert Ried, John Ried, Richard Ried; sisters, Helen Shaw; grandchildren, Kristen Martinez (Marlo), Leslie Lucas, Samantha Lucas, Kyle Lucas, Danielle Hedey; great grandchildren, Trey Hutton, Kelyn Hutton, Cruz Hernandez, Alessandra Martinez, and Isabella Martinez.
