Improving mobility for seniors and those with disabilities

Congressman Daniel Webster

Last week, the U.S. Department of Transportation held its first Access and Mobility for All Summit.

This summit was the result of language that was included in the FAST Act legislation at my request. During the summit, Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao announced nearly $50 million in new initiatives to expand access to transportation for seniors and people with disabilities.

Throughout my time in public service, I have advocated for and worked to improve access and mobility for seniors and people with disabilities.

I thank Secretary Chao for hosting this important conversation and dedicating resources to improve and expand transportation access for these Americans.

I look forward to continuing to work together to identify and improve ways to provide more efficient, affordable and accessible services.
