84-year-old reported as Silver Alert found after crash in Tampa

An 84-year-old Water Oaker who was reported as a Silver Alert was located after a car crash in Tampa.

The Ohio native last had been seen at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Wildwood before he was reported missing Sunday night, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A family member repeatedly placed calls to the man’s cell phone, but those calls went directly to voice mail. The family member told police it was the fourth time the man had gone missing. The make and model of the man’s vehicle and his license plate number were provided to police and a Silver Alert was issued.

The Tampa Police Department responded to the Silver Alert and indicated the Water Oak resident had been involved in an automobile accident in their jurisdiction. A family member went to Tampa to retrieve him.
