Fiesta Bowl is gearing up for its next Senior Shoot Out – and a special new award that will pay tribute to a bowler.
The event will be held Saturday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. United States Bowling Congress certified events are open to all bowlers age 55 and older, with special consideration going to those bowlers age 70 and older. The event also includes optional brackets, side pots and a King of the Hill pot.
This season Fiesta Bowl has added a special award for Player of the Year. Bowlers earn points by entering an event, surviving the first cut, making the semifinal round and placing in the final round. Special points will be awarded for 300 games and 800 series. Details still are being ironed out on the new award, but it is based on a September 2019 event. The Fiesta Bowl tournament staff is excited about it and hopes all bowlers will enjoy competing for the new award.
