Why isn’t Community Watch reporting violations?

To the Editor:

I like the fact that if I decide to sell my house that I can have a sign for clients to see at a glance down the street. What I don’t understand is the signs that are an ad for a business like the roofers, etc.
I also would like to know why the Community Watch personnel driving around our neighborhood looking for things out of the ordinary are not reporting things like lawns not mowed, garage doors up over night and things out on lawns. Why are we paying these guys if they don’t do anything but ride around?
