Career con artist Roy Courtnay (Ian McKellen) can hardly believe his luck when he meets well-to-do widow Betty McLeish online.

As Betty (Helen Mirren) opens her home and life to him, Roy is surprised to find himself caring about her, turning what should have been a cut-and-dry swindle into the most treacherous tightrope-walk of his life in the movie “The Good Liar.”

The plot is about trust and deceit.  When McLeish asks Courtnay to share net worths, the situation becomes dicey and unpredictable. Who can outwit or out lie the other?

Casting is unbelievably good. Do not miss this show. It deserves an unqualified grade “A” and is currently playing at The Old Mill Playhouse in The Villages.
