Do-it-yourself woodworking studio just outside The Villages up for sale

A do-it-yourself studio located just outside the walls of The Villages where customers transform wood into personalized works of art is for sale.

Hammer and Stain, located at 4125 County Road 106 in Oxford, is a wood staining and painting franchise that offers instructor-guided classes to create a variety of special pieces. Groups are welcome and encouraged to bring their favorite beverages – and to then leave the rest to the talented staff.

Hammer & Stain

Dawn-Marie Crown, of Transworld Business Advisors, has listed Hammer and Stain for $64,900, with some owner financing available. She said the business has been put on the market because the seller’s mother has fallen ill.

A variety of personalized projects can be created at Hammer and Stain in Oxford.

The outstanding lease for the 2,000-square-foot building is $2,940, which includes water, and there are no common area maintenance charges. A down payment of $40,000 is being sought and the business comes complete with a woodworking area, $5,000 worth of inventory and $20,000 in furniture, fixtures and equipment.

Crown can be reached at (352) 895-9648. Those seeking additional information can visit hammerandstain.com.

Crown also is handling the listing for Sips by JJ, a gourmet coffee shop in Ocala that’s on the market for $49,900. She also recently handled listings for two other Ocala eateries – Cup O’ The Irish when it went up for sale for $45,000 in November and the Charlie Horse Restaurant and Lounge when it was put on the market for $799,000 in August.

A woodworking area is included in the 2,000-square-foot Hammer and Stain business that’s for sale in Oxford.
