Lake Sumter Landing town square completely fenced in

A fence is now surrounding Lake Sumter Landing Market Square.

The Town Squares Division of District Property Management will be installing new shade structures at the square.

It is anticipated portions of the square, as well as parking areas around the square, will be closed for safety reasons. The completion of the project is targeted for mid-April.

A fence is up at Lake Sumter Landing Market Square.

Also initiating in mid-April, the Town Squares Division will be temporarily closing access roads, main roadways and parking areas within the Lake Sumter Landing Town Square to provide new roadway pavement markings. Maintenance of traffic for this work may include temporary detours. As part of the temporary traffic control, signage and cones will be in place to provide direction for the traveling public and protection for the workers and the residents. Those traveling in the area are asked to slow down and drive safely through these areas to protect staff, the contractor and residents.

Signs on the fence indicate there is “No Trespassing” and that video surveillance is in place 24 hours a day.
