Leesburg firefighters pull two dogs from burning home near Palmora Park

Leesburg firefighters rescued two dogs from a burning residence last week.

Leesburg firefighters were able to save two dogs last week as flames swept through this home in the Palmora Park area of the city.
Multiple crews from Leesburg Fire Rescue battled a blaze at a home in the Palmora Park area of Leesburg last week.

Crews from Leesburg Fire Rescue responded to the blaze in the Palmora Park area at about 6:30 p.m. on April 29. When they arrived, they confirmed a working structure fire and went into an attack mode.

Crews secured a water supply, entered the residence and saved the two pets from the burning home. The residence suffered extensive damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the rest of the structure. There were no injuries reported.

The kitchen area of this home in the Palmora Park area of Leesburg was destroyed by flames.
