Villager calls 911 after attack by her bi-polar adult daughter

Jessica Ramirez

A Village of Marsh Bend woman called 911 after she was attacked by her bi-polar adult daughter.

The Villager had been in her bedroom in the Kate Villas on Thursday afternoon when her daughter, 31-year-old Jessica Ramirez, entered the room, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

Ramirez suddenly began to “scream and yell” at her before throwing items and grabbing her mother by the arms, the report said. Ramirez threatened to attack her mother in her sleep.

Her mother fled the patio villa and waited in her car in the driveway until police arrived on the scene. She had suffered scratches on her arms.

She told police her daughter, who is from New York, was diagnosed in 2015 with bi-polar disorder.

Ramirez was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.

She was released after posting $500 bond.
