Pickleball-starved Villagers can finally begin returning to the courts on Monday.
Since the pickleball courts were closed due to the Coronavirus, pickup games have been taking place in driveways and in side streets in villa communities.
Beginning Monday, die-hard pickleball fanatics can return to the courts, but there will be some rules in place:
• Village residents will have priority.
• Valid ID cards are required (manually checked).
• Only one gate will be available for entry and exit.
• Only 50 percent of the courts will be available for use.
• Every other court will be open or closed to encourage social distancing.
• Residents should bring their own equipment. Balls will be provided but must be cleaned after use.
• Benches will not be available. Residents should bring their own chairs.
• Water coolers will not be available. Players should bring their own water.
• Participants will be allowed to enter each time an individual leaves the courts – not to exceed recommended capacities to maintain social distancing.
• Players are asked to stand 6 feet apart at all times.
These same rules will be in place for beach tennis, platform tennis, sand volleyball and tennis.
