Villagers encouraged to take online survey about future of Silver Lake golf course

Villagers are being encouraged to take an online survey regarding the future of the Silver Lake Executive Golf Course.

The Amenity Authority Committee earlier this month reviewed two very different proposals for the future of the golf course, which is The Villages’ original golf course and dates back to 1987.

The two options being considered are:

• Transition to a new concept – an 18-hole Pitch and Putt and nine-hole Putt and Play experience like the one in the south portion of The Villages. This would cost $1.087 million.
• Renovate the existing course with new tees, new greens and design modifications including re-grassing. The cost would be about $500,000.

The AAC would like to know what you think.
