Sumter County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a thief who ripped off a heavy piece of machinery from a Wildwood construction site recently.
The bandit hit the site, located at 7650 Spring Flow Ave. near State Road 44 and Interstate 75, on April 22 and stole a Bobcat T630. The piece of machinery is shown in the video above.
Sumter County sheriff’s detectives located a vehicle of interest depicted in video surveillance. It is described as a white pickup truck with an extended cab with a dark line along the bottom, running the length of its side. The truck was pulling a flatbed trailer, which can be seen with the Bobcat on it.
The vehicle was spotted in the area of the theft on April 22 at about 2:40 am. Detectives tracked the vehicle traveling on U.S. Hwy. 441 south of State Road 19 at approximately 3:14 am.
