Suspect wanted in Virginia arrested after threats with gun in Wildwood

Jacob Finazzo

A 20-year-old Wildwood man wanted in Virginia was arrested after making threats with a gun.

The ex-girlfriend of Jacob Finazzo said he showed up Saturday at her residence and held a pistol to his head, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The ex-girlfriend, who has a child with Finazzo, approached the pickup truck in which Finazzo was seated and attempted to calm him down. She told him he needed to leave, but Finazzo said he had nowhere to go. He also said he had 10 bullets in the gun and threatened to shoot the woman and others. She called 911. He left the residence, but was later spotted near the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store in Wildwood.

Officers learned that Finazzo was wanted in Spotsylvania County, Va. in connection with the theft of a vehicle and gun. The pickup Finazzo was driving had a Virginia license plate.

An officer blocked in the pickup Finazzo was driving and he was taken into custody. A handgun was recovered from the vehicle along with a small amount of marijuana.

Finazzo was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.

Finazzo was placed on probation this past December after unwanted contact with the same woman while she was on duty at American House senior living in Wildwood. At the time, he was armed with a 10-inch knife.
