Byron Jennings McClendon Jr.

Byron McClendon

Byron Jennings “Uncle Bud” McClendon, Jr., 89, of Summerfield, FL passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020.

Uncle Bud was born in Belleview, FL to Byron Sr. and Verdi Mae McClendon and lived in Marion county all his life.  He was a US Army veteran, having served in the Korean war.  He was a welder and fabricator by trade.

One of the finest men – loving, kind, always ready to help.  Our historian, he taught us so much about the area.  Always quick with a joke, he kept us all laughing.  He was loved and will be dearly missed by all.  Until we meet again …

He was preceded in death by his son Byron Clifford and daughter Misti Juel.  He is survived by his sister Eva Joyce Ledlow, and a slew of nieces and nephews.

The Family will be celebrating Uncle Bud’s life on Saturday afternoon, May 30th at Lake Lillian.
