Masks not needed when you play golf or ride in golf cart

To the Editor:

I believe that the face masks should be “suggested,” not mandatory for outdoor activity. First of all, when you are playing an active sport, you are sweating, breathing hard where the mask makes it almost impossible to play.
Second, most masks that are being worn in The Villages are nothing more than a chin strap. I walk four mornings a week and see these people wearing a mask under their chins or not covering their nose. Useless.
Third, it is my body so I have the right to either wear a mask or not especially if I am a healthy individual, who has been tested and want to breathe fresh air not through a sweaty mask.
So for those who have underlying conditions, agree with the fear factor, please wear your masks but not for the drive in your golf cart by yourself, then take it off to play golf!
