Villager ticketed after 86-year-old passenger injured in crash which required extrication

A Villager was ticketed after an 86-year-old passenger was injured in a crash which required extrication.

Dorothy White Webb of the Village of Rio Grande was transported by ambulance to Ocala Regional Medical Center after the accident which occurred at 2:15 p.m. June 11 at the intersection of County Road 466 and Morse Boulevard, according to an accident report released Thursday by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The door was removed from this Buick LaCrosse to free an 86-year-old injured Villager.

Webb had been a passenger in a white 2010 Buick LaCrosse driven by 62-year-old Carolyn Dafoe Hubert, also of the Village of Rio Grande. Hubert had been traveling in the left turn lane heading east on County Road 466 when she turned in front of a black 2018 Nissan four-door driven by 21-year-old Riley Elizabeth Heise of Tampa. She had been westbound on County Road 466 when the front of her vehicle struck the Buick LaCrosse. Heise was transported by ambulance to UF Health The Villages Hospital.

This Nissan sustained front-end damage in the crash.

The door was cut from the Buick LaCrosse to free Webb.

Hubert was ticketed on a charge of failure to yield.
