Driver injured when vehicle flips in roundabout in The Villages

A driver was taken by ambulance to UF Health The Villages Hospital after a vehicle flipped Friday morning in a roundabout in The Villages.

This vehicle was upside down Friday morning in the roundabout on Buena Vista Boulevard in front of Palmer Legends Country Club.

The driver had been southbound in the left lane of Buena Vista Boulevard at Lake Miona Drive in front of Palmer Legends County Club at about 10 a.m. when the vehicle hit a power pole and flipped over, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office was at the scene of the crash Friday morning on Buena Vista Boulevard.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash, which remains under investigation.

The driver suffered minor injuries, including lacerations to the head.

The Villages Public Safety Department and Community Watch also responded to the scene.
