To the Editor:
The whole idea of apartments here angers me. It’s certainly not anything ever envisioned by those who bought here. While apartments have their benefits, they should be in a separate section, perhaps closer to the squares and certainly not where they will add to an already serious traffic problem.
We bought here because of the vision of Harold Schwartz and the existence of courtyard villas sealed the deal.
The Developer was deceptive as usual in not disclosing these plans. I believe they knew apartments would not be acceptable to the vast majority of residents. If not for the existence of alternate news sources, we would simply wake up one day and be surprised. Unfortunately, the Daily Sun does not shed much light on these things.
As an aside, if these things are allowed to continue, amenity fees will be like a mortgage payment. From no increase at all unless needed, they went to a cost of living basis and when that’s not enough, it would not shock me to see another way to build them up.
If the resident were allowed to vote on this, the answer would be NO to apartments within the community.
