Michael Yander

Michael Yander, 77, of The Villages, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, after a valiant fight with Covid.  He was under the compassionate care of Cornerstone Hospice. He was proud to be born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Mike retired from the New York City Police Department as a Lieutenant working in the NYC Crime Lab.

Survivors include his children Laura Hill (T.J.), Krista Jensen (Brad), and Michael Yander; step-sons Chad and Bryce Bean; best friend Alma Poerio; and grandchildren Kathleen, Patrick, Allen, Charlotte, and Heather.

He was preceded in death by his parents Willam and Olga Yander; First Wife & Mother of his children Margaret; his grandchildren Sean Hill & Bethany Jensen and; his loving wife of 23 Years Carol.
