To the Editor:
Walking to the courts with confidence, subtle arrogance, There was a strength in the gait. There was a feeling of belonging, The players entered the court. The courts were full of movement, excitement. The serves, volume of shots showed spirited intenseness. The players showed concentration, love of a game that absorbed all of their feelings.
The game had dinks, slams, a strategy of planning to win. Facial expressions, movement of eyes showed strategy, plans to gather momentum to win. They were male-female, tall-short, heavy-thin, it welcomed everyone to play. Win-lose, the cordial meeting of friendliness was apparent. THIS IS pickleball in the Villages.
