Will any Villages supporters of Trump ever see the light?

To the Editor:

Shockingly, on the 700 Club yesterday, Trump lost the Evangelical crowd. Pat Robertson told Trump it was over and to “move on” and also told Trump not to run in 2024. He talked about Trump’s lies and said Trump believes his own lies. This coming just a few days after he surmised that if Hunter Biden were indicted and Joe Biden along with him, perhaps the Republicans could still appoint someone else. At this point, it  appears that someone else would not be Trump. Very interesting. It brings into question the belief by Democrats that the Republican party is pure Trump or a Trump cult. Republicans throwing Trump to the curb is picking up speed, except for the truly radical zealots like Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert, or Steve Scalese and newly pardoned former General Flynn.
Most interesting is today’s report that many in the military establishment believe Flynn should be court martialed for fomenting insurrection against the U.S. government. I don’t know if Flynn, as a retired military officer is subject to court-martial. Does he get a military pension? If so, a court martial would remove that and rightly so. Flynn should have taken his pardon, been grateful and gone quietly into the night. By getting right back into the fight, he is risking everything he gained and his family, too. I believe General Flynn is mentally unstable. Nothing he has done in the last four years is even remotely rational for a decorated military officer to have done.
Now, with the evangelicals abandoning Trump, and the military establishment abandoning Trump, how long is it going to take to get the poor middle-class Villagers to wake up and see him for what he has always been? Will any Villages supporters of Trump ever see the light?
