To the Editor:
Police need to crack down on dangerous bicyclists. We’re all trying to courteously share the main roads here, but they seem to behave discourteously in return.
Yesterday, two bicyclists were riding side by side on Buena Vista Boulevard when one of them darted into the leftmost lane in front of a passing car. The driver was anticipating something like that might happen and avoided a collision, but the bicyclist shouted at him. The bicyclist could have been killed but didn’t seem to care.
We need to get these overage children to obey the traffic laws or ban them from the roads altogether. They are all quick to say they have the right to be there but we have the right to travel safely.
