William M. “Mike” Hager

William M. “Mike” Hager, 68, of Wildwood, Florida went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2021 at U.F. Health Leesburg under the loving care of his family.

Mike was born on April 24, 1952 in Huntington, West Virginia to his parents William McKinley Hager and Rose Zettia Hager. He was retired from Winn-Dixie as the Manager of the Meat Department and was based out of the Wildwood location for many years. He was a longtime resident of Wildwood, Florida and grew up in Floral City, Florida prior to moving to Wildwood. Mike graduated from Citrus High School in 1971. He was an avid hunter and a proud supporter of the Florida “Gator’s”. Mike was of the Christian faith and was extremely devoted to his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years: Cindy Hager of Wildwood, FL; his three loving children: Heather Perez of Euharlee, GA, Matthew Hager of Powhatan, VA and Katie Donathan and her husband Rob of Powhatan, VA; two brothers: Ray Hager of Hawkinsville, GA and John Hager of Louisville, KY; a sister: Nola Meeks of Berlin, GA; five grandchildren: Hayley, Preston, Christian, Ryan and Lillian and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 3:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel, Wildwood with Pastor Derrell Strickland officiating. The family has requested donations be made to the American Heart Association at www2.heart.org/ or The American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org in Mike’s loving memory.
