Newcomers should not have to be subsidized by residents

To the Editor:

Newcomers should not have to be subsidized by residents. New construction infrastructure costs should be included in their welcome to the best retirement area they can possibly imagine. Why do contractors or anyone else complain? The costs are add-ons. Nothing new to the construction industry.
Unlikely the increased costs would be a significant burden to new residents, tacked on to the mortgage. That would probably increase the value of current residents properties and might even reduce the influx of residents. More residents create a burden on all sorts of stuff. Think about it.
