Villager unhappy with late notice about show canceled at The Sharon

To the Editor:

I was extremely disappointed to see that “9 to 5 – The Musical” at the Sharon was canceled.
I received an email from The Villages Entertainment at 5:34 p.m. on the day of the performance.  Unfortunately, dinner and a show were a gift for my cousin. We were already out for dinner when the email arrived. We then listened to the music on the square until it was time to go to the theater. Only then did we find out the Feb. 26 and 27 shows were canceled.
The show was advertised in The Villages Daily Sun in the Living section on Feb. 26.  I wonder why the shows were cancelled. It seems that they are expanding the available seating and will offer us other tickets “if available.” This is NOT the way to treat customers. It may just be the last performance I attend.  If there was a valid reason for the cancellation, I would be sympathetic but it does not appear to be the case.
