A. Anita Burton

Anita Burton, 79, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at The Brandley Hospice House. Born on August 26, 1938 in Marion, IN to the proud parents of Albert & Nina (Lines) Shafer.

Anita was a wonderful person, who reached out to people thru her teaching line dancing for at least 15 years. She loved to travel, was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church and also was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Glenn Burton of Summerfield, FL; her daughter, Heather Plummer of Ormond Beach FL; her son, Timothy Burton of Pensacola, FL; her brothers: Lowell (Donna) Shafer of Brownsburg, IN and Marlin (Angel) Shafer of Fresno, CA along with her four grandchildren: Zachary, Gabrielle, Regan and Logan and a sister-in-law, Darlene Shafer of CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Eugene & Wendell Shafer and a son, Eric.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages, FL. Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
