A woman was arrested on a drunk driving charge after reporting a window had been broken out in her vehicle.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday to the Parkside at East Village apartments behind Lowe’s in Lady Lake where 39-year-old Jessica Latham Smith-Dwyer of Citrus Springs reported that someone had punched and broken a window of her silver 2015 Ford Explorer. She was in possession of the vehicle’s keys and it appeared she had been drinking. She admitted she shouldn’t be driving.

She refused to participate in field sobriety exercises and refused to provide a breath sample. The Ocala native was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $1,000 bond.
