Evona Moore Gallagher, age 83, passed from this life and went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Evona was born in Oxford, Florida on June 14, 1938. At the age of 15, she married her first love, and father of her children August Moore. They later moved to Ocala where they built a life together and had four beautiful children. She was married to August for 48 years and was widowed in 2000. A few years later she met her second love, James “JJ’ Gallagher. They were later married and spent 6 wonderful years together.

She was an avid and successful Real Estate Broker for Century 21 for many years where she won many Real Estate awards. She later opened her own Brokerage “Evona Moore Realty.” She delighted herself in knowing God’s word and sharing God’s word with everyone she encountered, whether they wanted to hear it or not. She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed traveling, spending time with her friends and family, caring for others, and attending church regularly.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony “Dean” Moore (Lynn) and Alan “Danny” Moore; daughters, Tammy Moore and Rose “Pepper” Hellwig (Kevin); eight grandchildren, Connie Moore, Christopher Moore (Pam), Rachel Weddle (Nathan), Darreld Gibbons, Danielle Moore, Sheena Burleigh, Jennifer Burleigh, and Jonathon Burleigh; 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Husband, August Moore, and Husband James “JJ” Gallagher, brothers, and sisters.

A visitation will be held at Byers Funeral Home in Lady Lake on Tuesday, July 27 from 6-8. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28 at 11:00 at Family Community Church of God in Lady Lake with Pastor Dean Moore and Pastor Aaron Baum officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Ocala.
