Craig Johnson, of The Villages, Florida passed away on Sunday, July 18 at the age of 75. He battled a rare cancer for over two years.
Craig was born on October 14, 1945 to Oscar and Monica Johnson in Des Moines, IA. He is survived by his wife Dorothy “DJ” Johnson; children Jackie Knepper (Jared) and Jeff Johnson (Lisa); stepchildren Nick Fischer and Stephanie Wood (Tom); grandchildren Morgan Knepper McCoy (Andrew), Ryan Knepper (Madison), Nathan Knepper, Sarah Johnson, Justin Johnson, and Henry Wood; great-grandchildren Hunter Knepper and Watson McCoy. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Monica Johnson, his brother Gary Johnson, and grandson Tyler Knepper.
Craig loved his Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved everything sports and especially loved playing golf with his friends. More than anything he loved his family! He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and great papa!
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 11th at 5pm at the Laurel Manor Recreation Center in The Villages, Florida.
