Four golf courses in The Villages to be closed due to excessive rain

Four golf courses in The Villages are being closed due to excessive rain.

The Belle Glade Championship Golf Course and Evans Prairie Championship Golf Courses will be closed until further notice. The country club restaurants will remain open.

The Amberwood and Oakleigh Executive Golf Courses will be closed Thursday, Aug. 5 through Sunday, Aug. 8 for water management implementations due to excessive rain.
The movement of water from one area to another helps the District ensure the integrity of the holding capabilities throughout the various water retention basins.
