Mainstream media desires only to dictate and shape public opinion

To the Editor:

It has become very apparent that the mainstream media is stunned by the outcry from the public at large. The public looks to the media for some sort of equality of truth in matters of social impact. That equality has gone from scarce to rare. I do not ask that the media be “right”, merely that it report equally and allow the public to make its own decision on the truth of the matter, based upon facts, as opposed to those based upon by censorship.
We used to pride ourselves on having this valuable resource to use and share but the mainstream media desires only to dictate and shape public opinion rather than to allow public opinion to be shaped upon the facts. We deserve better. We demand better. But the mainstream media, of which Villages-News.com is a member, trembles at the thought, that the public might be so informed and thereby form different conclusions of many matters.
