To the Editor:
Don’t the powers that be have insurance to cover this large expense? As homeowners, we have sinkholes covered under our homeowners policy, along with an endorsement (which we pay extra for) for non-catastrophic sinkhole coverage.
I would think this would be a basic protection to have for all village property, so that this expense does not filter down to the residents.
