Report indicates crash on Morse Boulevard caused by driver’s loss of consciousness

A Florida Highway Patrol report released Saturday indicates a crash earlier this month on Morse Boulevard in The Villages was caused by a driver’s loss of consciousness.

The crash occurred at 10:55 a.m. Oct. 6 near the entrance to the Village of Palo Alto when a 58-year-old Village of Tierra del Sol South woman driving a black 2018 Chevy Malibu left the roadway and crashed into a tree, according to the report.

She was transported by ambulance to Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
