A speeding driver at the wheel of a vehicle with Texas plates was arrested after he was caught driving without a license.
Arturo Ballinas Martinez, 37, of Fort Worth, Texas was driving a white 2011 Volkswagen Jetta with Texas license plates shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday when he was driving 60 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone at East County Road 470 and U.S. Hwy. 301, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
During a traffic stop, it was determined that the native of Mexico does not have a valid driver’s license. He was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $500 bond.
