We don’t want to look like a trailer park full of gnomes

To the Editor:

I do not think the Andersons should have to remove their little white cross. Like it or not, there are lawn ornaments all over The Villages. Perhaps this rule needs to be overhauled. It is enforced very unevenly and so unfairly. I understand the intent is to keep things looking nice and not like a trailer park full of gnomes, but perhaps it needs rewording. Thought I had heard there is a provision that says if an ornament is under the eaves it is OK?
