James Cunningham

James G. Cunningham Sr., 81, of Summerfield, Florida passed away on July 27, 2022 in Mass. General Hospital in Boston, MA. He attended public schools in Reading, MA, went to Northern Essex Community College, graduated Salem State College and earned a Teaching Degree.

Jim taught school in Litchfield, NH and Pittsfield, NH. He also joined the B&M Railroad as a Clerk, became Train Master, then created a program to teach classes for management, he then moved to Orlando, FL and worked for Walt Disney World in Cash Control as a Banker and joined the Disney University teaching new cast member classes the Disney philosophy.

He joined WDW Seminars facilitating seminars for various companies’ management teams and retired from WDW and formed Mentors International.

Jim traveled worldwide giving Management classes and held a Chair in Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland for many years.

He is survived by his spouse of 62 years, Nancy (Foster) Cunningham, children James, Jr, Michael and Peter, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Christine.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 19, 2022, 11:00 AM at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida with visiting hours from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
