Hooded Merganser In The Village Of Hawkins

This is a male hooded merganser tossing his head in the air on the walking path in The Village of Hawkins. The male gets this white hood only during the breeding season. The females are so impressed by a good head toss that they pick the fellows with the biggest, whitest hoods. Thanks to Debbie Collins for sharing!
